Wave of Bugs!
I was hpoing you could help identify this insect. I found waves of these bugs in my New Hampshire backyard. They are 1-2 milimeters in length, are coloured dark blue-gray, and move in large waves around the yard. They don’t seem to cause any visable damage and it looks like oil or something was poured on the yard when looking at them from afar. We can’t find anything about it anywhere else, and we had the same kind of infestation last year around May. It’s so small I couldn’t get a good picture of an individual, but got a picture of some of the groups. They are attached to this email. Thank you!
